Proudly Serving California for Over 20 Years

About Schank Family Law

Schank Family Law has practiced family law exclusively since 2003, growing from a single office into eight locations serving families across California. We provide direct counsel, thorough preparation, and a strategy shaped around each client’s circumstances.

A California Firm Devoted to Family Law

Schank Family Law is a California family law firm with eight offices across the state, reaching from the Inland Empire to the Central Coast and Silicon Valley. Since 2003, the firm has practiced family law and nothing else, representing spouses, parents, grandparents, and guardians in divorce, custody, support, property division, and restraining order matters. That single focus shapes everything from how cases are staffed to how strategy is built. Attorneys who work these cases every day recognize the patterns, anticipate the arguments, and understand how local judges tend to rule.

Clients come to the firm at difficult moments, often with more questions than answers. The firm’s job is to bring order to that uncertainty: explain the process in plain terms, set realistic expectations, and carry the case forward with the same level of preparation whether it resolves in a conference room or a courtroom.

Founder Christian Schank

Christian Schank founded the firm following his admission to the California Bar in 2003. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-review designation available for legal ability and ethical standards. He has also maintained Lead Counsel Verified status in family law since 2015. Christian remains active in the courtroom, and his experience with complex cases continues to shape how the firm approaches high-conflict custody disputes and high-asset dissolutions.

What Sets the Firm Apart

Family law, exclusively. Every attorney at Schank Family Law practices family law full time. That depth of focus means the firm’s attorneys know the statutes, the case law, and the courtroom dynamics that decide these matters.

Statewide presence, local knowledge. Eight offices mean clients meet with an attorney who appears regularly in their county’s family courts and knows the local bench, the local procedures, and the local pace of a case.

Candor from the first meeting. Clients receive a realistic assessment of cost, timeline, and likely outcome before committing to a course of action, not a pitch designed to win the retainer.

Strategy built around the client. No two families arrive at the courthouse with the same facts, finances, or priorities. The firm shapes its approach to each case around what matters most to the person it represents, whether that is protecting time with children, preserving what was built during the marriage, or simply reaching a resolution and moving forward.

Practice Areas

Schank Family Law handles the full range of matters that fall under California family law, from uncontested dissolutions to litigation involving business valuations, hidden assets, and cross-border property. The firm’s core practice areas include:

Many cases involve several of these issues at once. A divorce may raise questions of custody, support, and the division of a business or retirement account, and the firm’s attorneys are prepared to handle each of those factors as part of one coordinated strategy.

Speak With an Attorney

Family law cases are decided on decisions made early, often before the first document is filed. If you are facing a divorce, a custody dispute, or a support matter anywhere in California, request a case review to speak with an experienced attorney about where your situation stands and what your options look like.
