Thomas boasts an impressive academic portfolio, holding four degrees from the University of La Verne, including two doctorate degrees, in business, law, and public administration. Thomas’s commitment to education extends beyond his own studies; Thomas is an associate professor of legal studies with tenure at the University of La Verne. Over his academic career, Thomas has taught more than 70 legal college courses covering a broad spectrum of subjects such as family law, litigation, ethics, trial advocacy, business law, and other legal topics. Notably, Thomas utilizes textbooks he has authored to ensure his students receive the highest quality education.
In addition to his academic contributions, Thomas has a robust legal practice. Thomas has conducted hundreds of court hearings, court trials, and jury trials. One of his notable cases includes prosecuting a contempt jury trial where the jury convicted a father on 95 counts of contempt for failure to follow a custody order. Thomas prides himself on providing the highest quality of service, but his passion is for oral advocacy in the courtroom. Thomas is a previously nationally-ranked college debater and law school moot court champion. In college and law school, Thomas traveled all over the U.S. and world competing against the brightest minds in debate and moot court. As an attorney, Thomas has traveled the country competing against some of the brightest attorneys the legal profession has to offer.
