Education – Mr. Pexton is an Eagle Scout, and a native of Nephi, Utah, where he graduated from Juab High School in 1985, where he was the Student Body President. Mr. Pexton was named the 1985 Sterling Scholar of Central Utah in Social Science. He later graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 1992, with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in English Literature and Spanish. Mr. Pexton then graduated from California Western School of Law, in San Diego, California, in 1995.
Experience – Mr. Pexton was admitted to the State Bar of California on June 7, 1996. After practicing in San Diego, Mr. Pexton graduated from the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, in 1997. As a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the nation’s Premiere Law Enforcement Agency, Mr. Pexton served with honor and distinction, and received a Letter of Commendation from Director Louis J. Freeh, on February 13, 1998. Mr. Pexton also worked in the FBI Intelligence Command Center during the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. Following his return to private law practice in California in 2004, Mr. Pexton worked for several distinguished law firms in Chino and Redlands, California. In October of 2009, Mr. Pexton was commissioned as JAG Officer in the United States Army Reserve and graduated from the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia, and from Officer’s School in Fort Benning, Georgia, in 2011.
Personal - Mr. Pexton is widowed by Sheri Pexton, who was a very gifted Algebra Teacher, and they are the parents of two children and one grandchild. In his spare time, Mr. Pexton enjoys Family History Research and reading English and Spanish Literature, and also jogging, swimming, skiing, tennis, and hiking.
