Julia K. Quinn
Family Law Attorney – #288755
Julia K. Quinn has been practicing exclusively in the field family law for over seven years and sub-specializes in domestic violence law. From a young age, Julia always knew she wanted to practice law but it was not until her second year of law school that Julia discovered her immense passion for the unique area of family law. Julia understands that when you are seeking a family law attorney you are going through one of the most traumatic times of your life. Julia takes great pride in providing her clients with compassion while being aggressive and firm with opposing counsels, opposing parties, and the courts in order to achieve the best results possible for each of her clients.
Julia grew up on the Monterey Peninsula. After graduating high school she went on to attend Saint Mary’s College where she graduated in three years with honors. After college, Julia decided to move to Vietnam and work for a welfare center for orphans and children with disabilities. After finishing her contract in Vietnam, she went on to travel to each continent (except for Antarctica). After returning home, Julia attended the University of San Francisco School of Law. In her first year, she was a representative to the UN Human Rights Counsel in Geneva. In her second year, she became a certified law student which allowed her to begin practicing family law both inside and outside the courtroom.
After graduating from law school, Julia returned to work for Bay Legal where she was mentored by award winning attorneys. While at Bay Legal, Julia established case law in the case of Gou v. Xiao which expanded a parent’s right to request a domestic violence restraining order when their child has been a victim of abuse.
Julia even went on to open her own practice due to the high demand for her services. Ultimately, however, Julia desired to be a part of a firm where she could collaborate with other highly respected attorneys. She worked for Miller & Associates, Attorneys LLP for over three and a half years where she managed her own case load and regularly practiced in the counties of Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Yuba, Sutter, Contra Costa, and Alameda.
After three and a half years with Miller & Associates, Julia decided to join The Law offices of Christian Schank & Associates where she continues to passionately represent her client’s interests and advise them in all aspects of family law including, but not limited to, child custody, child visitation, child support, spousal support, property division, and restraining orders. Julia’s aim in every case is to resolve the matter efficiently while still ensuring her client’s have the best representation possible.
