Having practiced family law in Solano and Sacramento Counties since her admission to the California Bar in 2012. Ms. Martin’s practice focuses solely on family law related issues such as dissolution, of marriage, child custody and visitation, child support, parentage and domestic violence matters.
Ms. Martin attended Northern Arizona University at Yuma where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in the Administration of Justice Summa Cum Laude with membership in Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key International Honour Society. She obtained her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, CA where she was a fellow in the Center for Children’s Rights, an interdisciplinary program focusing on legal issues that affect children and families. She was also a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation, served as an executive board member of the Older Wiser Law Students, and served on the Whittier Law Review.
Prior to law school, Ms. Martin served as a civilian employee on one of the Army’s premier test facilities in the Office of the Command Judge Advocate (JAG), primarily in the legal assistance office working closely with civilian and military attorneys to assist service members and their families with personal legal matters. She received numerous awards from the Department of the Army for excellence in civil service as well as receiving recognition for her administration the installation’s IRS sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
